This is an electrical regulator / rectifier ( reg / rect / reg/rect ) from a 1983 Yamaha XV750 Virago ( XV-750 / XV 750 ). This is the combination unit that rectifies the 3-phase AC coming from the stator / generator into DC, and regulates it to the avarage 13.8 volts that a motorcycle uses. If your Virago is not charging or is charging / running poorly, a faulty regulator / rectifier unit may be the culprit. This used unit is in good physical condition and we believe that it is a functional unit. One of the plastic connector covers is broken.
