For Sale: ERA 427SC Cobra #178. Lamborghini Silver/Onyx Black stripes. First titled in 2007 as a ’67 Ford, and put on the road in October 2008. Under the hood: 351W, Edelbrock heads, Performer Plus intake, Performer cam, Demon 650 carburetor, March pulleys, MSD ignition. Runs strong on pump gas. Geartrain: Tremec ‘World Class’ T5 gearbox, 3:54 Jag XJ-6 IRS in the rear [modified for maximum performance and comfort]. Other details: the vintage knockoff wheels are shod with BF Goodrich rubber [235/60Rx15 front, 270/60Rx15 rear]. new Optima battery in the trunk and keyed cutoff switch behind the seat; Spax adjustable shocks with adjustable ride height; sidepipe ankle-guard/heat shields included but not currently installed. In the cockpit: Moto-Lita leather-wrapped steering wheel, Stewart Warner gauges [in ‘correct’ SC configuration], seat adjusters, heater/defroster, Willans 4-point seatbelts, wind wings, visors, tonneau cover. ERA advantages and benefits: ERA is the pinnacle of fiberglass-bodied Cobra replicas—the firm’s reputation for quality and authenticity is unsurpassed. The chassis is reinforced and strengthened far better than the original design, and stiffened to reduce body shake; the fiberglass tunnel is removable for servicing the clutch, driveshaft and transmission. The durable and rugged coachwork resists stress cracks and surface distortion. The special ERA-designed suspension works with the stiffer chassis to produce an optimal blend of excellent handling and smooth ride not available in any other Cobra reproduction. The ERA 427SC is a visual clone of the original 1960s roadster—the body shape is indistinguishable from an original; it has aluminum floors, interior side panels and rear bulkhead [just as the original], and the relationship of the rolling stock to the body is proper Fully sorted and completely reliable.
