Factory Five Cobra, red w/white stripes, professionally built
The car was built by Weatherby Speed and Assembly - now Protune Performance - he now specializes in mainly engines and tuning.
He originally worked at Tri-State. 1991 donor. EVERYTHING was completely redone - engine, trans, rear, brakes, etc. Tons of new parts. EVERY single nut and bolt was done - this was not a remove from donor and install type of build. Very fast, handles great, truly a BLAST to drive.
Engine
The motor is a 302 that has been completely rebuilt. Line honed, decked, bead blasted, etc. There is a more aggressive Ford Motorsports cam. It has the finned Cobra aluminum valve covers and intake cover. New Aluminum heavy duty radiator. New "wear" items. JET HOT/HPC Coating
The rollbar, sidepipes, quick jacks, and headers are JetHot/HPC coated -chrome/matte chrome finish. Transmission
5 spd rebuilt trans with Cobra R racing clutch. Factory Five lower rear control arms. The rear was changed to 3.55 gears. FIVE lug conversion.
Compomotive rims (multi-piece design, bolt on) with BFG radial tires Interior The black interior is as close to "original" look as possible. Heater installed under dash, windshield wipers installed. There are Stewart Warner guages and the Lucas flip switches (for the other controls) from Finishline. Exterior
Metal screened headlights for race look. Professional paint (Rob hired out a Corvette/Highend car shop) 1999 Mercedes Magma Red with white stripes. Very nice. Not super detailed right now but very clean- mainly sits in garage. Easy show car condition. There is less than 7,000 miles on the car. Have extra unpainted hood and windwings, if desired. IF ALLOWED BY EBAY : Would consider sale/trade -full or partial- toward 1967 Shelby GT350, 1967-1968 Mustang Fastback, 68&1/2 Cobra Jet Mustang, early Bronco, super nice 1968 Mustang convertible, or Land Rover Defender. Would need to be agreed to prior to auction close and sale would need to be completed so ebay gets their selling fee.
Clear title in hand (titled as a 1965) The car gets a LOT of attention and is a very nice looking car. No games allowed, no joy rides. Personal inspections are welcome. The car is sold as is, where is, with NO warranty expressed or implied.
