1934 Replica/Kit Makes Roadster Mercedes
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
If you’ve ever dreamed of what it would be like to drive up to the world famous Pebble Beach Concourse Car Show and be the center of attention, and the envy of every middle aged man, dream no more! What I’m selling is one of the biggest smile makers and attention getters that one could ever imagine. This is a replica of the 500K Mercedes that was just sold for $3.5 Million dollars. Although this is not a $3.5M car, in many ways it’s a lot better. If you know anything about these replica’s you will know that they’re not your typical cheaply thrown together, built in the backyard cars. The frames for the car are custom built and extremely heavy especially the front end of it where it is boxed in to look like the original. The complete power train is all Chevy parts including the V8 motor. The body is made out of fiberglass with a thick gel coat finish, far superior to paint. I hope you can tell by the pictures that the car is covered with an extensive amount of chrome and polished metal that adds to the richness of the vehicle. The car was completed less than 5,375 miles ago and has spent most of its life in the garage. The car has a beige leather interior with French stitching on the seat, dash and door panels and of course new carpeting. Most of the interior has been replaced within the last year. The tires are in excellent shape. The car can be driven anywhere do to the fact of the complete Chevy drive train including power steering and power disc brakes and AC. For those early mornings and late nights, the car can be driven with the soft-top and windows rolled up, and if it happens to rain, no problem because of the full size wipers. On those beautiful sunny days, the soft-top folds down beneath the hard tonneau. The car in its finished trim weighs in at approximately 3750 lbs. Like I said earlier, this isn’t a cheap kit car, but a luxurious replica! To have this car built in today’s market, would cost somewhere close to $100,000 maybe even more. I’m setting a very low reserve on this car so please ask questions before bidding. I will be in and out of town during the time the car is up for auction and will do my very best to answer all e-mails/questions.
As with any show car or replica you’re sure to find some imperfections or things you’d want to do your own way.
