Making Bug Out Bags for the Wife and I (guess you can never be too cautious) and bought two of these. Just received them and two packs of 12 alcohol pellets (24 total) are packed inside of each stove when folded up. The first picture has the 1rst stove with it's 24 alcohol fuel pods packed inside and the 2nd stove's fuel packs behind it. I have not used these in a camping situation, but took one outside and lit an alcohol fuel cell and it burned well for 6 - 7 minutes. To my hand it put out a nice amount of heat and i would think it would easily make 8 - 12oz of water hot. Lit a lighter on the fuel pod for a few seconds and it did not light. Needs a little more. Took a Q-tip (100% cotton) tip, ripped it off, rubbed in some petroleum jelly to make a little fire starter which lit up quickly and all was good. I am sure if the lighter was on for a few seconds longer, the fuel pod would light.Read full review

These stoves when closed are about the size of a small book. 4×6 inches. They are made of steel and painted black with high temp paint. The stove folds open and you place a tablet or two in small can in center of stove. Stove can support a large pot of water with no problem or issues , very study... Stove folds close and fuel tablets can be stored in stove for future use. I always bring 3 or 4 with me while camping Great for hikers , fits easy in back pack. Be sure to bring extra fuel tables. I love these stoves and great for cooking or boiling water.

A little bigger than an authentic Esbit stove, but essentially the same. The included heat tabs (24 of them) make this well worth the price. Light to carry, easy to use. Well made, and should last a long time. I've used it on camping trips, and it hasnt let me down. I've cooked fish, coffee, ramen noodles, canned ravioli, all with no problems.

I highly recommend the Coghlan's Emergency Stove! There are similar stoves out there but most are smaller and not as sturdy. The nice part is you not only get the stove but get 24 fuel tablets. My pop can alcohol stove fits like it is part of the stove. If it's really an emergency there is no reason you can't use it burning small twigs and wood. I'm getting one for my granddaughter who loves camping. This is an overall good buy. It's a fuel tablet, alcohol and wood burning stove in one.

Great deal on a "must have" if your heading out for a day of fishing, camping, hiking, etc, as a main or backup stove. With all the tabs inside? How long they burn? Stay two weeks. Your good. 24 tabs inside will get you coffee in the mornings and supper at night.
