VEHICLE DESCRIPTION
1965 Superformance Cobra 392! This is an actual production vehicle that was built in 2005 and is titled as a 1965 Production Year Vehicle! This 1965 392 Superformance Cobra comes with the much desirable Electric Blue Paint with White Racing Stripes. This car was manufactured in the largest privately owned specialized auto manufacturing plant in the world, owned by the legend, Jim Price. This stunning classic car comes with a Ford Big Block 392 Motor. The chassis on this vehicle is Jig-Welded with parallel ladder frames of heavy wall 2" x 4" rectangular steel tubing with large diameter outriggers. The frame incorporates front and rear crumple zones. The door hinges, steering column and windshield pickup-points are incorporated onto the main chassis. The body consists of hand laid fiberglass panels with steel tube reinforcements in all openings. All mounting points are plated and the doors, hood and trunk are double skinned for added reinforcement. The Body is bonded to the chassis and is completely non-stressed. Because the bodies are non-stressed, they will never show pit marks, print-through or stress cracks!! The front suspension is fully independent with unequal length A-arms and adjustable coils over telescopic shock absorbers. The rear suspension also has fully independent unequal length A-arms with fabricated hub carriers and coil over shock absorbers. This vehicle has the Rack and pinion steering and comes with an AC Schnitzer style Leather Steering Wheel!! Both the front and rear brakes are ventilated disc with 4-pot calipers. This 1965 Superformance Cobra also comes with the single row high performance aluminum core radiator with 2 thermostatically-controlled electric fans, original specification oil cooler, hand fabricated stainless steel engine louvers, heater unit with 2 speed fan, original style wiper assembly with 2 speeds and 140 degree wiper arc; and hand fabricated chrome plated windshield assembly. The instrumentation and controls are Original style instruments specially manufactured by Smiths of England. The shifter and handbrake are hand crafted. The interior consists of hand made seats upholstered in German specification automotive leather. Fully carpeted floor, center console, sides and rear firewall finish off the interior. There are slide adjusters for the driver's seat. Also included, is a fire extinguisher mounted between the two seats.
