This is a pair ( left and right ) sidecover ( side cover / sidecovers ) with chrome grills for a 1974 - 1978 Kawasaki KZ400D ( KZ400 D ) KZ400 Deluxe motorcycle. These sidecovers also fit the touring model KZ400 from that year range. One still has the emblem. The other someone painted, not very good, will need redone. This one also has a broken tab.
