Makes pin and bushing changes really easy
This is a very handy tool for popping out the hinge pins and reseating the bushings. They are very well made and finished. When driving in the new bushings, use the flat tool to support the bushing as you tap it in place and it will save the edge of the bushing. Drive them in with a hammer and you will destroy the bushing lip and that is an important part of the bushing. Hold the door up with a cherry picker and it won't fall on your foot.This is a very handy tool for popping out the hinge pins and reseating the bushings. They are very well made and finished. Not a perfect tool, but when you need it, it comes in handy.
What I like about this tool is that it is tough. Some door pins I beat on for a while before they break loose and this tool has yet to break or bend. I gave the last one I had to a friend and he is beating it to death and has no issue. Another plus to this is that it can get to pins in areas where there is no straight shot, that is, there is something in the way.
