This is a newly revised edition of the AMC Engine book that's been published in various forms since 1983. It covers 1964-83 199-258 AMC 6s and 290-401 V-8s, plus 250-327 Rambler V-8s and 196 cid sixes. The book covers engine modifications on all these engines including cylinder head modifications like larger valves and the use of Chevrolet valvetrain parts. Also lube system and numerous other extreme duty engine modifications. Plus many pages of hard to find specifcations, parts interchanges, money saving engine technical tips and transmission swaps. Price $14.95 plus $5.00 shipping. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING PLEASE NOTE: We're a 3 decade old super/turbo club with a large inventory of rare tech information, not a full service book retailer with a large staff, so we have to keep it simple. This is original material written by racers, full-time AMC professional mechanics and long time AMC owners at the time AMC was shutting down in the early 80's. These are not parts catalogs, restoration guides, or low tech coffee table picture books put together by old car writers. This material was drawn from over 200 issues of AM-Xterminator and Real Jeep Club Newsletters -- nearly a 1000 pages of technical discussions related to AMCs and Jeeps over a two decade period. The engine and some heavy duty drivetrain material has been tediously rebuilt in recent years and rearranged in the new book. Dick Datson, Editor. |
