It is vital for the customer to understand what is required of them for receiving these shipments!
For residential deliveries, the customer's address must be able to accomodate a large 18 wheel truck pulling into and out of the drive. THE CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR UNLOADING THE PRODUCT FROM THE TRUCK! For unloading the equipment, you must have a forklift, wrecker boom, large cherry picker, roll off, or some similiar piece of equipment. Liftgates available. Residential charges may apply.
We recommend having the equipment delivered to a business address with a dock that is equipped to unload large trucks. For customers unable to accomodate a large truck at their residential address and have no business address available, we strongly urge them to have their product shipped to a local trucking terminal. The terminal staff will be able to unload the equipment from the truck and onto a truck or flatbed trailer.
Indiana residents must add sales tax of 6% to your final bid. Back ordered items will be filled ASAP should there be any. We have great freight rates! What do the Tire Changer clamping dimensions under your specifications mean, what does "inside rim" clamping and "outside rim" clamping mean?
Our Tire Changers work on the principles of pneumatically clamping onto the rim, and then using a Mounting / Demounting Head to wedge the tire on or off of the Rim as the Mounting Table on the Tire Changer rotates 360°.
There are 2 ways that that the Rim can be clamped using this machine:
INNER CLAMPING: This is where the Rim is placed over the clamps, and then the clamping jaws are expanded outwards to make contact with the interior of the rim. The Inner Rim Clamping method is often used on heavy steel wheels where scratching and pressure marks on the rim are not as much of a concern.
OUTER CLAMPING: When using this method, the Plastic Jaw Protectors are placed over the Clamping Jaws and the rim is then placed inbetween the expanded Clamping Jaws. The Clamping Jaws are then contracted inward to make contact with the outer lip of the rim. The Outer Rim Clamping method is used on decorative chrome rims to prevent damage. The Plastic Jaw Protectors that are included with this equipment help prevent damage to chrome rims.
You will notice under the specifications for this equipment that both the Inner and Outer Clamping dimensions are given for the standard Clamping Jaws, and also the Optional Tire Changer Clamping Adapters available for this equipment. Please call us if you have further questions.
What size rim will fit onto this Tire Changer?
Complete Hydraulic cannot give you the exact Rim dimensions that will fit on this Tire Changer because there are many factors that are used to determine this. Here is an example: A decorative chrome rim may be a 17" rim, but it may have a lip that extends past that 17" to overlap the tire and improve appearance, so a 17" rim may actually be 18". If you consider this, you may see why it is difficult for us to list all rim sizes that will fit a particular Tire Changer model.
We list the Clamping ranges for each of our Tire Changers under each item's specifications. These numbers can be used to determine if a Rim / Wheel will fit the machine. When using Outer Rim Clamping, you must allow for at least 1" of space to ensure the outermost width of the Rim will fit inside the specifications given.

Will this Tire Changer work for Chrome Rims?
When dealing with Chrome Rims and other decoritive wheels, extra caution must be taken to prevent damage.
First, we provide with each Tire Changer a set of replaceable Plastic Jaw Protectors. These plastic covers, when used with the Outer Clamping method, help to protect the wheel from damage. Also, we offer optional Plastic Mounting / Demounting Heads (also known as "Duckheads"), that provide further protecion when working with decorative wheels.
What is the "Run Flat" / Low Profile Helper Arm For?
A feature found on our higher end models is called the "Helper Arm". This Helper Arm assists operators when both mounting and demounting tires on this Tire Changer. The TC-260 & TC-370 can have an optional Helper Arm added as an option, the TC-470 INCLUDES a Helper Arm, and the deluxe TC-570 INCLUDES TWO Helper Arms!
This TC-570 includes a single pneumatic Helper Arm design, which is perfect for most applications. The arm is pneumatically powered, and by swinging the arms into position and using the different Helper Arm tools pictured below, the arm can be raised and lowered to greatly reduce physical strain on the operator and also enable the operators to easily change low profile tires with extremely stiff, difficult sidewalls.
The Helper Arm for our Tire Changers makes changing "Run Flat", Low profile, and other tires with stiff sidewalls and difficult beads fast & easy!
