1980 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ41

Up for auction is this nice 1980 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ 41 diesel. It came from New Zealand, I bought it about 2 years ago. It is currently registered and titled to me here in Michigan. It is completely street legal. The BJ 41 is rare and is actually a Japanese domestic model (JDM), meaning that it was never supposed to have left Japan, but somehow made its way to New Zealand, and now it's here. It does not have the original 3B engine, instead it has the larger 13B which has more torque and horsepower. The 13 B is what you want especially if you ever want to add a turbo. It gets about 26 M.P.G., whether your on the trail or on the road. No idea how many miles are on it, however it runs very strong. The 13 B also has no glow plugs, rather a glow screen pre-heater in the intake manifold. It fires right up, smokes for a bit then clears up completely. I think you will get many more miles out of this engine. It burns no oil.
This Land Cruiser is a 24-volt system. I had the alternator rebuilt with a new rotor, brushes and bearings, $450.00. Also replaced batteries with new NAPA Legend 75's. It now charges perfectly and is balanced. Tires are almost new, with plenty of tread left. Notice in the pictures the lack of diamond plate? Not to say there is no rust, there is some on the lower inner passenger doors, at the lower mounting area of the spare tire rack, some on the fender front right. Not a show car, but could be if you wanted it to be. Or, just enjoy it like I have. Pretty solid for a Land Cruiser of this era.
It will be sadly missed, cruising along the trails and highways with the top off in the summertime (at 26 MPG), but I have too many toys and am in the process of moving, so she needs to go off to a new home.
Not sure about registering in California, recently saw one here on Ebay that said it couldn't be done there, so check first before bidding.

I had a question of the wet looking spot underneath the vehicle, and whether that was pointing anything out in particular, no, I had just sprayed it off, that is water, I was just showing that the frame and chassis is rust free.
Also the 13 B engine is a 3.4 liter 4 cylinder | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
