Creation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION AND GET READY TO BID OR SIMPLY MAKE A REASONABLE
OFFER I AM READY TO SELL- LOWERED RESERVE- BUILT SHIPPING CONTAINER- EXTRA
PARTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ALL INCLUDED IN
AUCTION
I have put a lot of time and thought into the pieces
used on my old British twin and I have tried to describe it the best that l
can, so you know exactly what you are bidding on. So please read my ad
carefully and feel free to email or call me with any questions! If you don't
like any design features or anything else I would consider altering if
purchased. I have over $5000 in labor hours into this bike alone (at $25 an
hour not $50 $60 most shops charge).
This custom build is all about details, durability
and reliability! You will not find another bike like it! Not too
many frills, a very clean custom look! I used all near show quality parts some
new some slightly used. I also repainted, replaced, or re-plated the bolts and
really tried to detail every inch of the project!!!!
A FEW CHANGES FROM SOME PICS!! FRIED CRANE COIL REPLACED WITH 2 REG COILS NOW HIDDEN UNDER TANK. I ALSO ADDED BRASS PET COCKS NEW FUEL LINES AND A PICTURE OF SHIPPING CRATE..
So why am I selling it? Well, I have been dragging
this basket case around for the last ten years and finally decided to put her
together! After making it almost halfway through the build, my family and
I decided to move back to the Black Hills of SD! Where I have taken
a position with a very well known custom car builder, by the name of Larry Ruth,
Ruth Engineering. To sum it all up, I have to get this bike sold to help
finance our move.Aslo a lack of any income for the last three weeks while I was
bringing this old girl back to life really hurt!!!!(Old boss was a jerk when I
told Him about this new opportunity so I got an unexpected 3 week vacation and
spent 12-15 hours a day on triumph instead with no pay). I have
invested every penny we had, most of my sanity making it a well performing,
full functioning, and rough riding one of a kind bike!
THE MOTOR:
This motor was
built from the ground up. New main bearings, seals, rings, bushings
etc . The cylinders have been bored .60 over and the crank, 20 under.
The head has been fitted with freshly ground valves, new valve keepers, new
brass valve guides, new valve seals (intake) rocker box caps, rocker oilier
hard-line, new head gasket, seals, new Amal carb, , clutch plates , oil pump,
newer stater, primary chain, and timing advance cam. I
inspected the gear box, cleaned it, , reassembled it, and re-sealed
it. The cam plate and gears were all in excellent shape so they did not
get replaced. I did replace bearings but not the sprocket.
THE FRAME:
I purchased this
frame with a rigid kit welded on already. This frame has a nice clean
look with all of the unnecessary tabs and brackets removed. All factory
welding (or brazing) was cleaned, smoothed, and sandblasted before being epoxy
primed and painted a semi gloss black, with PPG urethane. All wiring has
been run through the frame. I did check the frame and it is straight.
This is a TR6C frame and title.
THE PAINT:
I painted the
tank, fender, fork bottoms, rear sprocket, and front wheel cover with a custom
made black base coat that looks nice and deep. I also used House of Kolor mini
gold flake in the scallops and white pin striping. Then I double cleared
double cleared wet sanded and buffed. The rest of the bike is chrome, bead
blasted, polished, or semi gloss 2 part urethane finish. I really
enjoy painting, do it for a living and cut no corners!!!!!!!!!
WHEELS:
The front
wheel is a 19”, 40 spoke Triumph wheel with an Avon Roadrunner Tire (size 90/90
H19). The rear is a16” 40 spoke Triumph wheel, with a N.O.S Bias Ply
Carlisle Tire (size 5.0-16 4 Ply). DID 530 type drive-chain, both inner-tubes;
both rim-strips were good and did not need replaced. Also both rims had some
new chrome on the hubs and had been re-spoked (when I got them ten yrs ago) but
are not 100% perfect but look great for a driver. I also have a front mini
spool, smith speedo, speedo cable, and front break parts all included. No FRONT
BRAKE ------REAR LEFT FOOT BRAKE ONLY!!!
HANDLE BARS &
CONTROLS
K&N 1"
black with left YES left hand internal throttle. Right hand suicide shift with
clutch lever mounted to shift rod! Takes a little getting used to but nobody
will steal your bike. I would be willing to change to your liking if purchased.
Kick starter is just a stock and drilled raw metal cleared with Eastwood bare
metal clear.
TAILLIGHT
For the tail
light I used an original, NOT reproduction 1930’s Ford, Duolamp to give it a
custom one of a kind look. The wiring is run inside the frame tubing.
Even has original thick old glass!!
THE SEAT
The seat pan is
made out of 10 gauge steel. New springs and custom built pivoting front
bracket. It is covered with thick hand-tooled buffalo hide and is as hard as a
rock!! 3" chrome springs mounted on 1/4 " plate tabs.
THE OIL TANK
The oil tank came with the
basket of parts and is a near but not perfect condition aftermarket Hex
Tank. There is a filtering screen located on feed tube.
THE ELECTRICAL
Wiring has been converted over to a 12 Volt Negative
ground, running a 12 Volt battery with an upgraded regulator rectifier.
No high beam, but is wired if someone so chooses to add it. I used modern
style bulbs. ALL the connections are soldered and covered in
heat-shrink. All wiring runs inside the frame, for a clean, smooth look,
you can barley see any wires! New points and two coils set up hidden under the
tank. There are two 30 amp fuses, one hidden under seat between battery and
volt regulator and one under tank protecting ignition and lights.
THE CARBURETOR
Amal 930 Mk1
Concentric Carburetor. HAVE A VELOCITY
STACK OR AIR CLEAN YOUR CHOICE!!!! .
THE PIPES
The pipes are from a Bonneville and
are new. But probably need some cocktail mixers or something to finish off the
look you can decide. I do have one left mixer, and right 2" drag
pipe.
THE FRONT END
The forks have
been shortened 4 inches, fitted with new seals and bushings. I also used
Harley Springer front springs to make sure it really rides rough.
THE GAS TANK
Tr6c original tank blasted, sealed inside and
painted.
Kick STAND
1 inch
solid steel rod with sprocket and spring!! Works good, with a different
look.
THE FLAWS:
Because this is a 42 year old Triumph it does
leak some oil after running, slight one from rear push rod tube and one from
primary cover nothing major. Also the headlight bucket, triple tree,
suicide shift, rear fender struts, and handle bars are eastwood semi gloss
lacquer not urethane. The grips are also old school originals off a wheel
barrel and piece of pipe from where I don’t know. They are in pretty nice
but not perfect shape!!!
TITLE:
I have the
clear title, ready to be signed over to you! I will overnight it to you
when your check clears my bank. I will not allow the bike to leave until your
payment has cleared my account. VIN IS ON FRAME AND MOTOR BOTH SO YOU WILL HAVE NO TITLE
ISSUES THAT YOU MAY RUN INTO ON SOME CUSTOMS!

expressed or implied on this bike, even though it has been totally
rebuilt. If you place a bid you are agreeing to these and other terms of
my auction. If you know these bikes at all you know they need a little tlc and
I feel I have covered all of the crucial pieces and parts to have a solid nice
