Basic tool. Sometimes simple is good.
I've had time to use this tool for a few months now, and so far it's done everything I've wanted it to do. I've had other scan tools that sometimes couldn't establish communication with the vehicle ECU, but haven't had that problem with this tool. It reads and clears codes, and provides a data stream. So, it gets you in on the ground floor in vehicle diagnosis. If you can't do those things, then you can't diagnose the problem you're working on. I've used it with 9 and 16 pin connectors, as well as OBD2, heavy duty and automotive. Pull the code, and then go to your internet device and do your research. Having problems with it reading some trucks that our other scanner will read. One in particular is a 01 sterling then had a 2020 Pete it read it then it quit communication with it.
