Dial Indicator Holder

Used for accurate adjustment of
Bosch diesel injection pump.
(Same as VW Tool 2066)
This Dial Gauge Holder screws into the back of the
injection pump and comes equipped with
a 10cm dial indicator extension pin.
This tool needs to be used in conjunction
with a dial indicator (not included).
Applicable: VW/Audi Diesel
Volvo 6 cylinder 2.4L diesel 81-86 engines.

This holder will only work on indicators
with an 8mm diameter shank and not larger.

These tools are required for timing belt replacement and fuel injection pump timing, as well as fuel injection pump removal on pre-TDI Volkswagen, Audi, and Volvo Diesels, both 4 cylinder and 5 cylinder versions using Bosch mechancial diesel injection from 1977 to 1995.

Tool 2066 is threaded into the rear of the injection pump after a blanking nut is removed. The thin rod shown in the photo is placed inside the tool, and into the pump. A micrometer is then set into the end of the tool and secured in place with the knurled chuck ring. Injection pump stroke is then set by clocking the mechanical diesel injection pump, according to the instructions in your repair manual.
