Technical information
|
Operation:
Upon starting the engine, the vegetable oil is heated electrically as it passes
over the 2 glow plugs. As soon as the engine reaches the operating temperature
of over 176°F, the heat from the cooling systems is transferred to the assembly
and the glow plugs are switched off automatically. If the engine temperature
falls below the target temperature, the system is restarted automatically . The
System is safe as a result of the thermal switch and overheating is avoided.
Glow plugs insertion in the assembly is gapless, which results in
substantially increased efficiency in the heating phase, since an air gap would
work like an insulator.
Cold vegetable oil is of substantially higher viscosity than Diesel fuel. With
the System, the vegetable oil is heated rapidly and becomes the same viscosity
as Diesel, resulting in a clean burning, smooth running engine! |

Which vehicles are compatible with this system?
You can expect a trouble-free installation of the system in 99% of all Diesels
produced prior to 1998. However, this system is NOT compatible with
Lucas and CAV electronic fuel injection pumps, or on Common Rail engines and
pump-nozzle engines. Please see listing below for specific model compatibility.

Is driving
with vegetable oil legal?
Driving with
vegetable oil is permitted in all countries in the world.
While the
price for Diesel constantly rises, vegetable oil is less expensive than Diesel!
Used
(filtered) vegetable oil costs practically nothing.

What about
exhaust emissions?
In comparison to Diesel fuel the exhaust gas values are lower with vegetable
oil. The output of soot particles is reduced nearly by half. Less greenhouse gas
(CO²) is discharged. Since vegetable oil does not contain sulfur, no sulfur
oxides are produced during combustion, thus reducing a major cause of acid rain,
among other things. In other words, using vegetable oil is eco-friendly! |
Can Diesel be mixed with vegetable oil?
How can I
avoid cold weather starting problems in the winter (gelling in the fuel lines)?
Yes, Diesel can be mixed with vegetable oil. Using a mixture containing 20%
Diesel fuel during the winter should avoid cold weather starting problems. | |

oil as alternative fuel could lead to damage to the engine and other vehicle
parts if not properly installed and used. These installation instructions and
the subsequent installation of the unit assume the installer has a working
knowledge of the vehicle and automotive technology. Otherwise, it is recommend
that the installation be performed by a professional mechanic, and that a
follow up inspection be performed 50 miles after installation. Is it your
responsibility to confirm the compatibility of this kit with the manufacturer of
your vehicle. Failure of the system as a result of improper installation, or in
a vehicle which is incompatible with this system will void the Warranty. Any
subsequent damage to the engine, Injection pump and other vehicle components is
