Rebuilt Low Hours What A Deal!!!

I’m selling this pair of Rebuilt Borg Warner velvet drives for a friend in California. I’m listing them separately so you can bid on one or both depending on your needs. These trannys are really a great buy!  They were mounted to small block Ford gassers for less than 8 hours.  They were removed when the boat was re-powered with a big diesel. Both have been professionally bench tested by a reputable and well respected marine engineering shop in Oxnard California and found to be in excellent condition.

Here’s the specs;

1.  Both transmissions have a Drive ratio of 1.52 to 1.

2.  The oil pumps on both can be positioned to function with either a RH or

    LH rotation engine

3. The rotation direction of your crankshaft determines the rotation of the

   Transmission output shaft.

4. Both have a 4 inch output flange.

5. The rebuilder stamped an “R” on the I.D plates to indicate they’ve been

   Rebuilt.

Known to be durable, these Velvet Drives will probably outlast your engines.  I’ve seen them on gas engines with horse power ratings as high as 350 and diesels with as much as 150 hp.  These work horses are in use all over the world so service and parts are available just about every where.

They haven’t been painted so you know what you’re getting and you can see we’re not trying to hide anything. Similar transmissions are going for as much as $350 and more here on ebay and they haven’t been rebuilt or bench tested.  These transmissions are perfect as a replacement, spare or if you’re re-powering your boat.

Local pick up is preferred.  We’ll even make arrangements to deliver them within a reasonable distance from Newhall, California.  If you really need them shipped it can be done but it will require crating.  These babies weigh 145 pounds and then there’s the crating so it won’t be cheap.
