For auction......NO RESERVE!!!!!!!
Up for auction is my 1970 Vw Standard Beetle. It has a clear PA title in my name....ready to transfer to the new owner. I have spent most of the last year working on this bug with the idea of using it as my daily driver. I've decided to go after a friend's MG so the bug needs to go.... The car received new pans and front end work in the early 90's ( have pictures), and below I've listed the work I have done or had done to bring it up to excellent running condition.
Here's a list of the new parts/repairs I've done:
The car received a new 1600 single port engine in the 90's rebuild...it now has 54,000 on it. It now has a completely new wiring harness, all new brakes (and wheel cylinders where needed), fresh carb. rebuild, electronic ignition conversion, Bosch blue coil, new generator, new voltage regulator, new cooling fan, valves have just been adjusted, new EMPI exhaust and j-tubes, two new fenders, fresh amateur paint, new running boards, and alot more that I am not remembering at the moment.
The interior will need a bit of attention to match the quality of the exterior. It has fresh carpet, but the driver's seat and the rear seat should both be recovered. There is a cd player installed in the dash that did work before I redid the electrics, but it is currently not wired up. The speakers are included.
Please feel free to call me any time if you would like more information, more pictures, or if you want to swing by and drive it around the block. It will be going in for inspection in next day or so, and I will update anything that might need to be done on this listing once I get it back. My cell number is 610-742-3611
I will accept paypal, money order (in person) or certified bank check. NO PERSONAL CHECKS.....sorry, one too many bad experiences.
I have a trailer and am willing to deliver the car within a 150 mile radius for an additional fee.....or it could very easily be driven home....your choice.
If you have 0 ebay feedback please contact me before you bid!
Thanks, and good luck......Dave
UPDATE......Work was killer this week, so I didn't have chance to get it in for inspection. The only thing that I think it might need would be front tires. This bug just needs a new home, so I've decided to lower the starting bid. Please feel free to call my cell if you have any more questions. Thanks!
