For your consideration we have a magnificent, classic, restored, 1968 VW Beetle Convertible. Not only does this car look great, but it runs and drives very nicely. This is one of the prettiest colors ever available on a classic Beetle, a subtle Ceylon, Savanna Beige exterior with refurbished Gazelle Beige, basketweave, leatherette interior. 

Besides the beautiful appearance of this little VW, the biggest attribute on this Beetle is how well it runs and drives. The car has all new wheels and tires and it rides down the road very smoothly on it's 1600 cc. rebuild dual port engine and new transmission. It has the optional seat belts and the original factory FM/AM Sapphire stereo radio unit that works well. All lights work as they should. Drive train miles are approximately 3000 miles after restoration. It has a new, Germany imported, convertible top and lining and wood bars according to specs. Undercarriage, floor boards and rails are new.

This car is great on gas, easy to park and cheap on insurance and taxes!.

As with most cars this age it has had its issues over the years. There are minor flaws and corrosion marks since its restoration from four years ago, it's not mint, but to say the least, in very good to excellent condition. The doors close exactly as they should so there is no body sag.  The only not original part, which we consider an attribute, is the vintage, patented AC unit, which can be removed for the total original look.

The current owner purchased the car locally in Florida and it was always garage kept. Taxes and Licensing: Out of state buyers (including other countries), we will send title and you will be responsible for registration and taxes in your own state or providence. If leaving the state or country, the car must be picked up by a transportation company that can provide a bill of lading. (All licensed transport companies provide these). Personalized plates on vehicles (if any) belong to the owner of record and cannot be included with the vehicle.

A deposit of $999.00 is due within 48 hours of the auction close (acceptable via Paypal). The remaining balance is due within 72 hours of the close of auction, unless other arrangements were made. Accepted payment methods are bank wire transfers, cashier's checks, cash and money orders. If you wish to obtain financing, please do so ahead of time. We reserve the right to end the auction early. We also reserve the right to verify any or all bids to ensure exceptional auction integrity. Please do not ask the reserve amount, as we will not disclose this information.

Transportation expenses are the sole responsibility of the buyer. We cannot be held liable for any problems or damages arising from or due to transportation handling. The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges and fees from point of sale to the final destination. In addition, it is the buyers responsibility to arrange & coordinate shipping. We are happy to provide a list of transporters.

Retractions: We will not accept bid retractions. If you bid and retract you will be added to our blocked bidder list and future bids will not be accepted.
