1970 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Classic

1970 VW BEETLE CLASSIC I will attempt to describe this little beauty as best I can here. 1st of all this little car was completely restored just over a year ago (with the exception of the original duel-port engine). The little car had engine failure and original owner was unable to repair the engine. I purchased the car with the idea of rebuilding the engine and of course this economy went to the wayside. A very good friend of mine had a real nice single port engine that was completely resealed and rebulit a little over a year ago. With him being a retired VW Tech. I made the deal with him to R/R any and all mechanical issues with this engine and we installed it. This is an 1600 cc engine, single port that if driven properly will give around 40 mpg. It has plenty of pep and I do like those engines and have put many of miles on these single ports. It is ready to return to the road and be your daily driver. The interior is not original as you can see from the pic's but it is in real nice shape. The floor pans are excellant with no appearant rust. The brakes are good and trustworthy. the paint which is a little over a year old only shows a minor bit of wear from its year of being a daily driver. The tires are 80% or better. I don't think there are two many of these left like this that have not been cut down and made dune buggies out of. Here is your chance to own a piece of history and make your friends green with envy! Since I live in Georgia, and Georgia does not require a title beyond the 1986 title year all I can offer is a "Bill of Sale" notorized of course and this should be all neccessary for you to tag and insure. Please check with your state concerning this issue as I will do all on my end to insure you the proper paperwork that your state requires from me. Thanks for viewing my auction today and good luck with your bidding. This is my loss and your gain! Thanks Alan p.s. I will try to answer any questions you may have as honestly as I can here. I have located the South Carolina Title and it is open and ready for the new owner. Being in Georgia I did not need this in order to properly tag and license this car due to its age. Thanks again Alan | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
