1976 VOLKSWAGEN BUS!! WESTFALIA EDITION!! TYPE 2 CAMPER!! A TRUE SHAGADELIC EXPERIENCE!! THANKS FOR LOOKING, UP FOR SALE IS MY BELOVED CAMP-MOBILE THAT HAS ALWAYS BEEN A PLEASURE TO OWN. THIS ONE IS A 4-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION, THAT WAS JUST REPLACED WITH A NICE USED UNIT FROM A NEWER BUS. AT THAT TIME I HAD A NEW O.E.M CLUTCH KIT INCLUDING CLUTCH, PRESSURE PLATE, BEARING AS WELL. ALL FLUIDS WERE REFILLED WITH RECOMMENDED SPECS, OIL CHANGE AND FILTER COMPLETED AS WELL. THE BUS DRIVES AND SHIFTS GREAT THROUGH EVERY GEAR! VERY SOLID FEEL TO IT FOR THE AGE, AND HAS NEVER LEFT ME STRANDED. I OCCASIONALLY DRIVE HER A 100 MILE RADIUS TO WORK AND BACK WITH NO PROBLEMS. I TEND TO CRUISE AROUND 65 MPH EASILY AND HAS PLENTY OF THROTTLE LEFT AT THAT. ALL WORK COMPLETED BY A REPUTABLE CLASSIC VW GARAGE WITH OVER 40 YEARS EXPEIRENCE. (TRI-STATE IMPORTS) NEW PARTS: -CLUTCH KIT (FULL) -CAP,ROTOR, WIRES, PLUGS -FUEL LINES+FILTER -INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET/BOOTS -FUEL GAUGE UNIT -BATTERY -ALL FLUIDS -SPEEDO CABLE -MISC. KNOBS/SLIDERS EXTERIOR PARTS RECENTLY REPLACED -ALL LIGHTING -UPGRADED HEADLIGHT KIT (BUILT IN FOGS) -TAILLIGHTS,SIDE MARKERS, SIGNALS BODY: -ALL ORIGINAL, THE PAINT IS ACCEPTABLE FOR THE AGE, NOT A SHOW CAR, BUT EASILY USABLE AND KEEPS THE CLASSIC LOOK FOR THIS WESTY! PASSENGER SIDE REAR QT HAS MINIMAL DAMAGE, NOTHING MAJOR. I REPLACED THE SIDEMARKER, ALTHOUGH THERE IS A FEW DENTS AND CHIPPED PAINT IN THAT AREA. DRIVER SIDE MIDWAY BACK HAS SMALL DENTS AND PAINT BUBBLE. NO STRUCTURAL RUST! I HAD MOST AREAS UNDERCOATED, THIS BUS IS SOLID AND NOT A RUST BUCKET. GARAGE KEPT FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS. VERY LITTLE CORROSION IN CLASSIC AREAS SUCH AS BOTTOM OF WINDSHIELD AREA AND NEAR THE WINDOW SEALS, WHICH IS ANTICIPATED FOR THE AGE. CAMPING EQUIPMENT: -CANVAS IS GREAT SHAPE, ALL ZIPPERS AND SEAMS ARE ALL INTACT AND WORKING. I HAD A FEW SPOTS PATCHED THAT WEAR GETTING WEAK, CANVAS IS A 8 OUT 10 SCALE. VERY CLEAN AND AIR TIGHT, THE WHOLE TOP MECHANISM WORKS FLAWLESSLY. -BUNK BEDS: TYPE 2 BUSES CAME EQUIPPED WITH THESE TWO FULL SIZE BEDS. MINE ARE WRAPPED IN FACTORY ORIGINAL PLAID MATERIAL. TOP BUNK IS NEARLY PERFECT, BUTTOM BUNK HAS OBVIOUSELY BEEN USED MORE AND SHOWS SOME AGE, NOT BAD AT ALL. SINK WORKS PERFECT, FLOURESCENT INTERIOR LIGHT IS NICE AND BRIGHT, ALL CABINENTS AND HARDWARE INCLUDING WATER JUGS, AND CURTAINS ARE ALL THERE. ALL ORIGINAL! I DO NOT HAVE THE TABLE TOP ATTACHMENT, WHICH IS COMMON ON THE TYPE 2'S. THE BUILT IN COOLER WORKS GREAT AND KEEPS BEVERAGES COLD FOR DAYS! -UPGRADED SOUND SYSTEM -ORIGINAL MESH ATTACHMENT INCLUDED (RARE) ATTACHES TO REAR DOOR FOR CAMPING! LIKE NEW! -LOTS OF STORAGE SPACE, INTERNAL DRESSER MIRROR BUILT IN! -PULL OUT STOVE INCLUDED -12 VOLT POWER SOCKET INPUT -INTEIOR FAN INSTALLED FOR AIR CIRCULATION WORKS GREAT! ::::NEWER SET OF UNIROYAL TIRES ALL THE WAY AROUND:::: -TWO SETS OF KEYS -CLEAN TN TITLE IN HAND ROADTRIP READY, I USED THIS BUS MANY TIMES FOR TAILGATING EVENTS AND ALWAYS ATTRACTS ALOT OF ATTENTION!
