Turnkey, Needs nothing drive it home.  This is not a 6 or $8k vehicle... My reserve is below avg book value.
A great deal of time, expense and effort have gone into the restoration of this vehicle to make it nice and original as possible. It has the original NY license plates (which go to new owner) which still can be registered in NY.   
Other than very light minimal surface scaling on some parts of the undercarriage, THERE IS NO RUST on this vehicle. Everything works! The paint is about a year old and is the original pearl white L-87 code 13 color, the wheels were painted to match. The bumpers were refinished in their original color.

Most of the door opening gaskets were replaced with new ones and those that were not were in great shape. The front windshield gasket, as well as, the right rear window gasket are also new. All the glass is in good condition with no frosting. The screens on the windows that have them are in great condition

Mechanically everything is very good. There are 4 almost new matching Michelin tires. All 4 shocks as well as cv inner boots have been replaced. The engine was rebuilt about 50,000 miles ago, which runs very well and there are no problems with the 4 speed standard transmission.The body has about 114k miles on it. The shifter, linkages and the Emergency brake all work as should be. The brakes are newer with a nice high pedal. The exhaust is a custom 4 tailpipe exhaust eliminating the heater boxes, which as any VW owner knows are not of much use even when they are new. It has  been garaged during winter months.



The camper portion is very complete having a working and recently sterilized sink, ice box, spice rack with folding table, main folding table, overhead main sleeping cot, rear jump seat, correct date coded ( 70 1.11086) folding “Z’ bed with far rear cushion, full Baltic wood paneling, rear wood upper shelf, wardrobe closet with mirror on the door and coat hooks, rear wooden hinge cover panel and the original small stool. Floor covering is new.

All the seats ( front, back & stool) have been re-upholstered using the original color and texture materials. The camper canvas is original and is near perfect with only minor imperfections. All the lights, horn,wipers ect… work. Steering is tight and it drives straight. There is an in dash, detachable face plate, Panasonic, am/fm CD player with four speakers that fill the van with music!



The electrical outlet on the driver’s side has a new circuit breaker type fuse for the interior 120v outlet. Vehicle passed NYS inspection with no problems. It is ready to drive. Every effort has been made to make this as nice as possible. If you want a much better than average driver, that is nice, functional and reliable, you have found it!! Keep in mind that this vehicle is almost 40 years old and is totally restored but is not NEW.
