1982 Air-Cooled Westfalia Vanagon is a camper van with stove, sink, and refrigerator. I have used sink and fridge and both work well. I have never put propane in the tank so tank needs to be checked before it is filled. I purchased the van in 1997. The previous owner had replaced the engine once so the mileage does not reflect the mileage on the engine now. It had been sitting for a few years and was left with a full tank of gas. I have replaced the gas tank and put a rebuilt carburetor on when I first bought it. I had trouble with the oil pump and ruined the engine so had to replace the engine with a rebuilt engine around 2000. I have driven the van less than 100 miles since the engine was replaced. The outside connector for electricity and water have been replaced and the plug in the van works when plugged into power at a camp site or an extension cord at home. The radio works The front windshield was broken during a storm and was replaced in 2005 and the van has not been inspected since. The tires are the same tires that were on the van when I bought it in 1997 and need replacing. The van has been driven very little since I purchased it and only in the yard since 2007. It starts right up, clutch and brakes feel okay, gas cable works well but the van is in need of some TLC. There are a few rust spots and there is a dent in the right side on the sliding door. The van has cruise control and air conditioning but we disconnected those when I first bought the van and tried to focus on getting it running. They may or may not work. The tent has some damage and will need to be replaced. The drivers seat has some tearing as seen in picture
  • I love this van and enjoyed driving it. I was a single parent when I purchased it and had little money to fix it up well. Since then I have bought a boat and all of my spare change goes into the boat. Also I have the van at my son's house and he is selling his house so I won't have a place to store it soon.
  • This van was sold in a previous auction but the buyer backed out of the sale due to a disagreement on delivery. The purchaser will be required to make all arrangements for delivery. This sale will require a $300 non-refundable deposit paid to paypal and balance due on pickup.
