1978 VOLKSWAGEN VW WESTFALIA CAMPER BUS VAN *FREE SHIP WITH BUY IT NOW*

You are bidding on a great original, California 1978 Westfalia Camper – This Westy looks great and drives great. There are new and good condition original, or refurbished exterior fixtures, and new front window seal. This westy has a brand new fresh coat of original sage green paint. The interior looks great.

Mechanically.......... It is very tight and solid, and is ready to cruise and camp. It is powered by a stock original, GE code 2.0 liter, L-Jetronic, engine with Hydraulic Lifter. This Westy starts right up and runs and drives good. The transmission is a manual 4 speed that shifts well through all gears. There is Ac, but the compressor is not there.

Electrical system is in good working order. Exterior lighting including headlamps, turn signals, emergency, tail lights, and wipers are working properly. There is a nice stereo soundsystem. Interior eletronics are all functioning properly, including the dome light.

Exterior.......This Westy is eye catching. When we got it, it was still wearing its original L63 code Sage Green paint with just a couple spot touch-ups and some fading. It was repainted with a fresh coat of the original sage green paint. All windows and exterior fixtures were removed before paint, and replaced with new, or good condition originals. Bumpers were reconditioned and repainted white. Pop-top and luggage rack were also repainted with weatherproof paint. Wheel rims were refinished in white. The windshield is new. There is a new rubber seals for front windshield, newer seals on front doors, sliding door, rear hatch and engine door. The canvas for the pop top is new. There are new seals for the pop-top and new westy decals.

Interior......... up front there are good condition original door panels, the original carpet with a new coco mat over it and original walk-thru mat, new kickpanels, outside seatstand mats, and new front seat upholstery. The middle passenger area has a nice new carpet. It still has the original, great condition upholstery and original cabinetry. There are all the original side and rear curtains present and in good shape.
