selling our '97 B4 with 256,000 miles (10K to belt change). We kept it up like we were keeping it till about a month ago.Still gets 43mpg city and hwy. Tires are great. Goes like heck. Has Kerma injectors(the ones they told me to use, non-performance). Uses a bit of oil. smokes a bit on start up. Had the best guy in town repaint about 3/4'rs of it last fall to fix odd chips and surface rust(we were going to keep it). Left the rear of the car, as you can see some of the clear coat is pealing there. Had lots of other maintaince stuff done over the years... good tires, new and newer struts/shocks, starter, etc. roof fabric is coming lose, hole in side of seat back were prevoius owner had keys on his belt, rest of seats like new. aftermarket cd radio mp3. Some Idiot with a convertable tossed his cell phone out ahead of my wife about 2 months after we had it painted.. see chip on hood (pinky finger). Flower is on dash cause the seatbelt light stays on. Drivers door handle is starting to give problems.. you can find em lots of places (ebay?). not the best time of year for me to work on it, Id put in new glowplugs too.. armrest lid is in the trunk.
apparently this car was in a reported accident 12 years ago, less than 3 months after being delivered new. after 256,000 miles the car runs straight and true. no damage is apparent. posted forsale on autotrader and craigs list too.. will end auction early if sold | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
