This '81 rabbit has had a new injection pump installed a 1000 miles ago. Clutch, timing belt, New Water pump, headgasket, and valve cover, fuel and oil filter and oil change also. Has a 5 speed transmission-shifts great. The odemeter read 99,495 but it was not working so I replaced it and have a thousand miles on it since that. It Burns 1.5 quarts of oil every thousand miles. Headliner needs to be recovered, and injectors should be replaced. A few cracks in dash. Car is for sale locally also so ebay listing could be taken off if it sells. I will deliver for free if it is within 35 miles of lebanon. If it is farther I would do it for a small charge. It was the cutest car until a drunk sideswiped me on the road. It is tan with new headgasket, water pump, alternator just rebuilt, new timing belt and tensioner, new vacuum pump, and headliner. The head was checked and perfectly straight. It has had the struts replaced, the injectors, and I put another good used injection pump on with 90k cause the other one was starting to produce a minor leak. 14 in. Tear drop alloys and all tires are in brandnew condition. Custom 2.25 in. exhaust AND downpipe and magnaflow exhaust. Gives it the neatest sound I've ever heard on a small car. Doesn't burn any oil. The car has 127,500 miles and 5 spd transmission with a new cluth! The insurance company totaled it so I would give you the title they give and if you wanted to put it back on the road (which could easy be a possibility) then you will have to it reconstruction inpection. All doors close. The back end is where it is hit the most. It is dented in about 4 inches. The drunk caught the back wheel and bent the rear axle. All that would be required is replacing the rear axle to make it drivable. ( it was drivable with the axle bent, just not very handy. Or the car could be used for parts. I am getting it aligned today at the shop and also putting in an unused battery. Very clean car with little rust. The only rust is behind the rear wheels. The rocker panels are dented underneath. The injection pump is a genuine Bosch (no China parts). Very good brakes, and new rotor on front right wheel. Lots of pad left. In the interior picture, that is an oil gauge to the right. I will also include a brandnew water temp. guage if you would like. It needs a heater control. Also included with the sale would be a set of brand-new fog lights, a new clutch cable. And I got this vehicle report which showed mileage history! Back in may of 2008 it had 214,000 and then was sitting for the next while till I bought it and fixed it up. I would say it has 215,500 miles. Someone must have put another odometer in. Clean title, no accidents, or anything else. PA state inp. Till 8/10 as on picture. You can see some fog around the edges of the windshield. It isn’t an inspection issue but slight fogginess borders the windshield. The 2nd tan car is the one that will come with a certificate of salvage. One of the cleanest rabbits ever for being 28 years old… such a shame it got banged by a drunk. That’s life. This one has the blue interior. That little push botton under the steering wheel is for the glow plug relay solenoid that was wired up. This way there is no glow plug relay to go bad and replace. There is a ignition switch under the dash so thiefs can’t steal. New linkage about 4k ago. I have the 2 left wheels off because I’m getting 2 new tires put on. As you can see, the damage is at the back end and is dented in about 4 inches at the most. All glass and entire hatch is unharmed. I have a picture of the back axle where it got bent from the impact on the rear wheel. Also you can see the magnaflow exhaust with 4 inch Chrome tip. There is no battery in the 2nd car. Also including those SONY speakers that are in the picture, and a brandnew set of halogen foglights, and 2 wheels with tires. (1-14 in. and 1-13 in.) I also have 4 brandnew condition winter tires that are studded. Size is 185/65 R14. They have lots of tread left. I won’t be needing them because I’ll be down south this winter.
