 INSPECTION items; Not available for Ma. registration unless buyer takes responsibility for any inspection-related service prior to purchase. Brakes smoothly on hard stop as tested to 40 mph.  My local third-party tech available to measure pad and rotor depth and under-car items, plus oil change, filter. Some states like Florida and Michigan have no state inspection for emissions or safety, and others like California are rigorous.  Therefore, plan to have your tech prepare for your individual state's inspection criteria.

 Maintenance; As this is a new-car trade to a local Volvo new-car store, no service records come in the glovebox due to store's 'privacy policy'.  Take the ViN to your local Volvo store's Serv. Mgr. to run on his national service data base for recall/service history.  Winter package includes the headlamp wiper feature that rarely works on this model.  No mechanical repairs were noted from the test-drive.  An undercar inspection-available at a local Volvo specialist shop.  He  recommends budgeting $50-100 per model year of age,  Any maintenance/repairs available thru my local tech before delivery at wholesale pricing; buyer agrees to hire his own afterwards without exception. Fixits; Sides and tops may have usual light clearcoat \scratand one bumper cover,  attendant with a family vehicle of the era.  Better than average body has no rust problems and few ding dents.  Interior very nice rugs and headliner and cool age lines on leather(see pix left rear)). Cargo area has some paint on rug.  One bulb needed and 02 sensor per dash. Exc. motor and shifts right in all gears.  T-belt service if silver sticker appears in pix underhood.   Fixits;Car is due for 'fuse-block'.  Until replaced, one fuse for dash cluster must be removed to keep charge up for restarting overnight.

For inspection, horn and wipers work, windshield clear.
