0-300 Amp Ammeter

(Shown Below to the left of the pilots seat)

This is a 2 3/4 inch instrument that is in very good condition  -   I would like to thank Glenn D Willmot for the following information:  One aircraft that used the altimeters was the B-17.  The 4 ammeters were located on an electrical panel on the Pilot's side of the aircraft. There were four of these large ammeters (one to each engine generator.

There is faint printing at the top of the back (which doesn't show up very well in the picture) which states "Use With External Shunt" (Not included)

The ammeter appears to be in good condition - the hardware appears to be new!

The working condition of this ammeter is unknown although it looks to be in good condition.  The nomenclature is clear and sharp and it glows phosphorescent green under a black light (as you can see in the above photo).

 

     I have 10 of these ammeters for sale.  All of them have new hardware and appear to be cosmetically refurbished.  (or at least in very good condition for their age)  Their working condition is unknown, but I would think that they are operational. (No Guarantees)

     The gauges say "US Army" on the bottom left (Very Faintly) and "Aircraft Part" on the right (Very Faintly)
