Vehicle History Report Summary for 1965 Willys CJ5 1965
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
This is a decent 1965 Willys Jeep CJ5. I call it the Boomerang Jeep. It was last driven on the street in 1994 by myself and by one of the in-between owners in 2002. As the pictures show the tub has rust on the drivers side and on the passengers side floor, but it is repairable. The front fenders have been cut off in the front. The windshield is cracked. It has a new master cylinder, but has NO brakes. It will need tires and a muffler. It has a fully functional PTO Driven Winch. The rest of the story goes like this.....I bought this jeep in 1994 to use on my farm, and we drove it on the road to the farm. We cleared trees off the land with it. My wife and I would chain the front end to a Big tree and hook the PTO driven winch to a 6" to 8" Small oak or sweetgum tree. The winch would pull the smaller trees out of the ground roots and all. My wife was in the Jeep during the pull and well, let's just say she wasn't fond of the tree falling, they never hit the Jeep or her, but each time she covered her head and closed her eyes thinking they were going to. I have sold this Jeep 3 times locally over the years, when I needed extra money and then when I had some extra money it was always for sale again and so I would buy it back, hence the nickname, Boomerang. It has been sitting for the past 4 years. I pulled it into the garage, put in a new battery and fresh gas and it started right up. The engine runs smooth, the PTO winch works great, the dash looks good and I belive the mileage to be original, the tail gate is still good, it still has all the front lights, although they aren't working. The hood will still latch to the windshield. I have a few parts to go with it, a snorkle plate, a new side mirror and a master cylinder plate cover. This Jeep is still in restorable condition. I have purchased an older model Jeep for my Son and myself to restore and I could use the money to put into that vehicle, I am putting it here on eBay so I can't buy it back again! I have included lots of pictures, but feel free to ask questions or ask for specific pictures, I will be glad to have my wife send you what you need to see. I will be glad to meet a shipping company if you need to have it shipped to you. The Jeep is located in a fully accessible location for a shipper or for yourself to pick up. I will require a $200.00 non-refundable deposit by PayPal within 48 hours of the auction end and the balance within 7 days by Certified Check or Cash. Buyer is responsible for all shipping or pickup costs. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
