1950 Willys Overland
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Here I am listing my dad’s 1950 Willys Overland Pickup. This truck is in good shape and runs and drives smooth. There has been some patch work done on the cab and doors that may need some touchup work as the rivets are showing and some of the filler has cracked on the panels in front of the doors. As you can see from the pictures there are some scratches and paint cracks. The inside of the bed has some surface rust but is solid from front to back and has some custom tailgate latches. If you ask me this is a pretty ingenious use of a GM part. All of the glass is perfect and new, there are no major dents or damage at all. The panel for around the pedals will be in the truck when sold but there isn’t a floor mat. The interior has had some work done professionally on the doors and seat (head liner was not professional), but the dash is all original except for the bicycle brake handle that has been installed for an auxiliary horn that is still intact. Rumor has it that this truck is one of a small number that came from the factory in its first year with an F-Head 134 4 cylinder engine that is attached to a 3 speed manual transmission. The 4 Wheel drive works great and is strong. Other than the body work this truck is original and has had the front axle bearings and seals replaced recently. This is a very strong hard working truck with a lot of pulling and hauling power just don’t try to go down the highway.
All in all, this truck is in really good shape for its age. For those of you that know much about the Willys, you will be glad to know that the frame is in very good condition which is a rare state on an original. The gas tank has been cleaned out redone and painted. It is in excellent condition.
Also included with this auction is another transmission, transfer case and a GM bell housing all bolted together for anyone looking to modify this truck with a Chevy small block. My dad also has 2 extra front and rear axles that are not included but are for sale if you are interested.
Please look over the pictures well and ask a lot of questions. I am selling this truck for my dad so you can feel free to call him with any questions at 269-778-3523 and ask for Jeff. Any questions submitted through ebay I will try to answer within 24 hours as long as I have an answer or can get a hold of my dad myself.
The buyer is obviously responsible for any shipping or pickup of the truck upon winning; although, my dad said he may be willing to deliver. Call for delivery option details.
Thank you for looking and I wish you luck.
