| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Offered here for your consideration and bids, is a restored 1951 F1 Pickup with many rare 5-Star Extra Cab options. This year and model Ford truck have greatly gained in collectibility and price in the last several years. Discovered in Mid-State, California, this example received a total body-off-frame restoration over the past seven years according to the owner. The flathead V/8 was rebuilt and the engine has less than 400 miles since the project was finished. The 5-Star Extra Cab options include many of the hard-to-find items. These include: Door arm rests; driver's side door lock; dual windshield wipers; dual sun visors; glove compartment door lock; stainless window channel; chrome wind-wings; "Extra" cab hood side trim spears and polished stainless windshield trim. If you are seeking a vintage truck to simply enjoy, tour, for business advertising purposes and a write-off, car shows, or for an investment, you have located your vehicle. Condition: Prior restoration in very good condition. Paint and body are in very presentable shape. The vehicle could use detailing to bring it up top-notch. The bed sides and tailgate are remarkably straight showing very little use. (Most likely a light-duty truck or grocery-getter vehicle). The floor boards are solid. New wood and hardware have been installed in the bed. The steering wheel has some cracks. Broken glass on the D/S door will need replacement. The truck still runs a 6-volt system and the battery was removed when the photos and video was composed. I did not have the opportunity to hear the truck run at the time, but the owner is an avid car-collector and he assures me the truck runs and drives great without issues. We did our best to locate the frame and engine numbers listed below: The number stamped on the frame reads: *F1R1LB-21156* which matches the pictured data plate. The engine number stamped into the top right hand side rear of the block reads: 8BA8RT6520. 21C5087 is stamped on both sides of the engine where it mounts. If a prospective buyer has questions, please call Dave Henry at 760 835-0115. Pacific Standard Time please, California. Please review my Total Overall Positive Feedback which is 100%.
