This is one of the first US-Spec i-Miev cars sold in the USA, fresh off the dealer's lot in new condition with full warranty. (Too fresh to show a Vehicle History Report, it's also the first electric sold by America's oldest Mitsubishi dealer.) You'll be buying from an EV expert, as I have been very active in the Electric Vehicle hobby for over a decade, and even built my own drag-racing EV. (For details, see www.karmanneclectric.blogspot.com ) I intended to use this car as primary transportation in the traditional EV mode, with home charging for the daily commute, and occasional opportunity charging to stretch out the range. However, while waiting for the car to be delivered, the "Electric Highway" has started becoming a reality, with DC Quickcharge stations being installed on two major highways in the Seattle area. This car does not have the $800 quickcharge option, and it is not a dealer-installable item. I've decided that a quickcharge-capable car would greatly reduce my need for a backup vehicle, and so am offering this one up for sale. The tax credit is taken, but I've set the reserve low enough to share the credit, giving the opportunity for a buyer that otherwise couldn't claim a tax credit to buy this new car for less than dealer cost! (Retirees and nonprofits who can't claim the tax credit- take note.) The 120V charging cable is included, and I also have a portable 240 Volt J1772 unit by SPX available below new cost. Please do your own research, as there's not enough room here to give all the details on this revolutionary car. However, the reasons I chose it over the Nissan Leaf, the Chevy Volt, and all other comers follow below. Please contact me with any questions. I encourage the winner to come drive in person before shipping. This is a very fun car, and it's much bigger in person than in pictures. The seating position is high with great visibility, but since the batteries are under the floor, stability is excellent. I am logging driving data until sold, total mileage just hit 800. EPA-rated driving range is 62 miles. Depending on driving conditions, I've seen estimated range anywhere between 72 and 44 miles when beginning a trip. (The car provides computerized estimate of remaining range based on the most recent usage. Stomp the go pedal when going uphill with the heater on, and the estimate will drop by 10 miles within a minute.) To be kind to the car, I haven't taken it farther than 45 miles on a trip yet.
