...This nice old pulley block was made by the world famous nautical gear co. MERRIMAN BROTHERS, from Boston, MA... It has their famous trident logo in brass an each end of the axle... I had one of these apart once... The bearings are very impressive... It'S no wonder they lasted so long... This one is 6.25" overall x 3" x 2" across the sheave or wheel... The shell is 4.5" long ... The block could handle a 1/2" line... I offered one just like this one last week... Condition is excellent.. No chips or breaks in the wood... The wheel runs free and true without wobble... ..This fine maritime or marine relic would be a compliment to any boat, yacht, sail or sailing atmosphere..... It would work in any nautical decor to do with diving, salvage, whaling, the ocean or the sea...
