Fully restored, award winning British Sports Car for sale.  This is a serious car with a serious seller...only serious buyers preferred.

This beautiful RUST-FREE example of a Triumph TR6 has won and placed in many show and moving events.  These include local and national car shows, and time-speed-distance rallyes.  Has been an active participant in the Glenwood Rallye (the longest running TSD rallye and show in the United States), the Vintage Triumph Register.  Current owner is the TR6 technical "guru" for Triumph club.  For a more complete sample of pictures, please visit this car's website:  1976 Triumph TR6 Picture Gallery

Restoration completed in 2001

  • 2nd owner since new.  Purchased from original Colorado owner family
  • Car has been a Colorado-car since new (Arid / Low-humidity Climate)
  • Rust-free Colorado car
  • 85,058 original miles
  • Car has never seen winter by current owner 
  • Always Garage-kept by current owner
  • Numbers matching car (Vin Number, Engine and Body numbers all match)
  • Colors match original build:  Paint is original Pimento Red and the Interior is Chestnut-colored
  • All parts removed, and most mechanical parts refurbished during restoration, some replaced
  • Non-wearable parts replaced include Brake master cylinder, brake lines, coolant hoses, full wire harness replacement, and exhaust replaced with Falcon Stainless system.
  • Correct style convertible top with reflective piping (as original for 1976 model year)
  • Period-correct Roll-bar was installed behind front seats.
  • Car originally was a non-overdrive car.  Replaced with a J-type overdrive tranny from another TR6
  • Original Pimento Red color resprayed to show quality, on top of several layers of top quality primer and epoxy primer.  This is not a base coat / clear coat paint job.  It is as original, with a single stage paint.  Hours of painstaking finish sanding and polishing paid off for the final product.
  • Upholstery is the original Chestnut color, and in excellent condition
  • Engine fully rebuilt and a strong running example.  Cylinders were bored to .040 over.
  • Frame was stripped, and strengthened with gussets for all "common problem areas", welds were relaid where necessary, and frame was coated in rust-resistant paint.
  • Upgraded sport springs installed
  • Body was completely bead blasted after full-disassembly.  Any of the minor imperfections (minor door-dings and the like) were hand-hammered, skim-coated, then shot with Etching primer, High build primer, and capped with Epoxy primer prior to having color applied.
  • Color spray covers the entire body, inside all panels, and underneath.
  • All suspension parts were powder coated black for the durability of the finish
  • Original Tonneau Cover and original Chestnut Boot cover (cover for convertible top when stowed) are included.
  • Convertible Top is like the original, with the reflective piping.
  • Pirelli tires on replica Minilite wheels


TERMS OF SALE

2. Vehicle may be sold by seller prior to the end of the auction. Seller reserves the right to end its auctions early or to cancel bids solely at its discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation. 



3. The winning bidder is required to contact seller within 24 hours after the close of the auction to finalize the details of the transaction.

4. A $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of the auction's close.  This deposit reserves the vehicle and removes it from the market. Acceptable payment types for deposit are: Paypal and cash. 



5. If winning bidder does not contact seller and submit deposit within 48 hours of auction close, vehicle may be made available to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer on a first come, first serve basis, as determined by seller.  By committing to purchase vehicle, you are able, willing, and you agree to complete all steps in transaction.

6. Full payment is required within 7 days of the auction’s close.  Acceptable methods of payment are either via cash payment or bank-to-bank wire transfer in US funds, no exceptions.  Vehicle and title will not be released until full payment has cleared.  Car must be picked up within 10 days of payment clearing.  Buyer is to pay any and all moving, shipping, and storage costs.  Buyer will arrange all shipping.

7. Seller has represented this vehicle to the best of his ability. Prospective bidders are encouraged to contact seller directly to provide additional information or answer any questions. 

8. Please be aware that all pre-owned vehicles, regardless of age, mileage, or manufacturer are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical failure. Seller encourages bidder to have a personal inspection completed prior to a commitment to purchase to help ensure your satisfaction. Third party inspections are to take place prior to committing to purchase the vehicle.

9. Vehicles are sold "AS IS" and with no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied.

10. Final or winning bid price does not include shipping, tax, title, or registration fees. It is the purchaser's responsibility to provide for any state or local taxes and shipping expenses resulting from the sale. 

It is the buyers responsibility to insure the vehicle upon purchase.
