1980 Catalina 30    One reason the  Catalina 30 is the best selling 30 ft sailboat is because of the large cabin space and the wide beam.

This sailboat comes with a diesel engine that runs great.  The fuel tank was just taken out and cleaned and refilled with new fuel.    The motor starts up everytime.

This vesssel had been in freshwater up until 2 years ago when it was sailed to Florida.   It had been titled in Michigan.

The Main and Jib were sent to the sail maker recently to fix any issues with them like stitching.    The are in good conditon and ready to sail.

The teak on the inside has polyurethane on it,

The stove, which is new,  has 2 burners, an oven and a  full size propane tank.

The interior cushions have been recovered except for the forward birth cushions.   The forward birth cushions are in decent conditon but have not been recovered.

This vessel has a marine 2000 watt D/C to A/C inverter which is a battery charger as well.   You can run anything off of this inverter.  This inverter was a $3000.  item new.

The mainsail cover is new.

The UHF radio works well and has an external speaker.

The oil guage works but is not hooked up.

I don't believe the spreader lights or light on  top of the mast work.  They may just need bulbs?

The green and red lights at the bow have new covers but one side need a bulb and needs to be put back into the cover.

The mid cabin hatch has cracks in it.  The hatch over the anchor also has cracks in it.

The deck on the starboard side has a weak spot of about 2 foot by 3 foot.  I am 200 + lbs and I walk over it.  It can stay that way and be used but ideally you would want that fixed eventually.  There was a small leak there that has been fiberglassed over that I believe caused the weak spot.   I was told the easiest way to do it would be to drill small holes and put in a fiberglass like material that they use on transoms.

As you will notice there is still tape residue from when the teak was done in some spots, it needs to be taken off with liquid stripper.

There is an icebox on this boat and a microwave oven.

The draft is 4' 4", with a fixed, winged keel,  which is nice for Florida cruising.

The bilge pump is oversized and new and there is a built in manual bilge pump.

The depth and knot meters don't work.  Actually when I bought the boat they worked but I did something in the fuse box and they both stopped working.

As you will notice there are cockpit cushions. There are screens on board for the hatches, I am not positive they are complete but there does look to be a fair amount of them.

There is an auto pilot and manual onboard. I have never tried to use it so I don't know if it works.    I have an older rolling furler that was on the boat when I purchased it, but it is missing the pole part.

The bottom was done 2 years ago but will need to be scrapped, especially around the water line.    I scrap it every 6  months or so but it is due now.

There are some scratches on the hull.

There are 2 water holding tanks and one needs to have the hose screwed back on where it meets the fill, there is a cabinet door there for easy access.

There are some extra filters, belts and other spare parts aboard the boat.

I was given a 1986 - 87 manual for the engine, so I believe the engine has been changed from the original one. The manual says that it is 23 hp.

The forward hatch has a solor fan that keeps moisture from building up inside the boat and keeps the air moving day or night.

There is a stainless steel frame attached for the bimini top, all you need is the material cover.

The dining table is underneath the mid cabin birth.

The head has a holding tank, you can make it go to the holding tank or overboard.  There is a macerator pump installed but it does not work.

There is a shower attachment in the head.

There is a stainless steel charcoal barbeque that has a mounting stand attached to the stern.

There are dual batteries which are less than 6 months old.

The fuel tank is 20 gallons.   The engine uses about three quarters of a gallon per hour at top cruising speed.

This sailboat can be purchased and sailed and used right away while doing the things that need to be done on it.   I would say if your a perfectionist, then this isn't the sailboat for you.

The diesel engine is fresh water cooled.

This boat can stay in the same slip if you desire at your expense.  The slip fee is $1002. every 6 months.   There are also free places to moor the boat close by.

The water system is pressurized.

There is a area where you can moor for free 7 miles south of where this vessel is located.  You have to provide your own mooring / anchor.  There are sailboat owners who moor there and live on there boats.

I tried to be as complete as I could describing the condition.
