The IC993 intercom’s main features are clear communication, integrated speaker and mouthpiece, the ability to incorporate additional audio equipment, and its compact and functional design.

This helmet-to-helmet intercom system allows easy communication between rider and passenger- a must for medium to long range trips! Compact, durable and energy-efficient! The package includes Z headsets, battery and input terminal. The input terminal allows you to plug in CD or radio – the music is automatically overridden when someone speaks : No helmet modification is required – the set attaches to helmet lining with velcro pads on the earpiece.

This intercom is manufactured by fully automated machinery, eliminating any discrepancies resulting from manual assembly. The use of S.M.D. elements, special dual channel construction with filters and protection devices built into the circuits has resulted in a damage resistant, compact intercom which operates with a power saving of 40% over its competitors.

INSTALLATION

  BATTERIES: The IC993 uses two batteries (size AAA). Check that the positive (+) and negative (-) poles are fitted correctly, after fitting the batteries ensure that the cover is replaced. If after a long period of use the L.E.D. becomes dim, the audio quality is not clear, or the volume becomes low replace the batteries with new units to restore performance. If the intercom is to be stored for long periods of time remove the batteries, thus preventing damage by corrosion.

HEADSET: The speaker and mouthpiece are integrated. No drilling of holes or use of tools is required. Simply attach the headset to the helmet lining (as close as possible to the ear) using the Velcro already fitted, adjust the mouthpiece to the optimum position; plug the headset wire into the control box. The intercom is now ready for use.

  MULTI-PURPOSE INPUT TERMINAL: Using the audio input terminal it is possible to connect a portable CD player or radio. Your voices will automatically over ride any program playing, eliminating the need to mute the player or radio.

OPERATION

The top on/off control wheel switches the intercom on or off and adjusts the volume to the passenger. The side volume control wheel adjusts the volume to the rider or driver. Please test the intercom after fitting the helmet, making sure that the audio quality is clear (adjust the mouthpiece position ) and that the volume is comfortable (adjust the volume control wheels).Thank you for choosing our intercom.

CAUTION 

When the voice quality is influenced by your riding speed-up or wind strengthened please don’t turn up the volume at this moment. Because the wind sound and noise are transferred to intercom through microphone, if turning up the volume it will be noisier, we suggest you to turn down the volume to less noisy position.
