 This is a used S-Tec 50 Automatic Pilot   "as removed" from a salvage Cessna 172N 1978 28vdc.  System appears to be complete as it was removed, including all major components and mounting hardware.    System components include:     0132-1-1 s/n 145  Prog/Comp, 6405-28L s/n 1254C T/C, 0106-R9 Roll Servo s/n 645, 0108-1-P4 Pitch Servo s/n 429, 0111- s/n 913 Transducer.   System is marked 28 vdc and was removed from a Cessna 172N that was damaged when it ran off the runway and landed in a tree.  I was told that the instrument panel was not damaged.  The Programmer/Computer is missing the yellow "Trim Down" lens cap.  None of the components or hardware appear to have any evidence of damage.   System is sold as is and we recommend that the system components be tested, repaired if necessary and re-certified to determine continued airworthiness.   Installation information can be purchased separately for Coban  ( formerly S-Tec) in Mineral Wells, Texas.     Thanks for bidding and buying with confidence, see our feedback.  Thank you.

A: It does have Altitude hold, however I do no think it will work in your Cardinal.... couple problems, one is that it is 28vdc and I believe all C-177 were 14vdc, secondly the components and part numbers may not be correct for... Continue reading
