Once you put this BRAND NEW helmet Quick Release strap buckle on your helmet the red button faces downwards so the color is all black.

Quick and easy to put on and off helmet no modifcation to D-Rings at all -  Only some helmets have the little plastic button on the end of the long black strap you just have to simply pop it off with pliers or even a kitchen knife its not needed takes about 2 seconds to get it off and once you put the qr on the button is not needed anyway if you have it on your strap after you put this helmet quick release on.  This qr simply and quickly attaches to all helmets onto the fabric loop that holds the D-Rings on then just take your helmet strap put it in the metal side in-then-out and done - then its push button on and off for life get a new helmet just take it off and put on new helmet!!!
