But, I am getting WAY ahead of myself and we've got a lot of information to cover so let's get to it shall we?

EXTERIOR

As stated above, this beautiful VW was purchased from the ORIGINAL, Adult non-smoking owner. Always garaged or covered. The paint is all original except for the aftermarket fenders that were installed and painted by the original owner. I do not have the original fenders but, I am told that it is VERY easy to remove and replace them if you would like the factory fender look. The paint is VERY glossy with NO RUST, NO body damage, or issues. There are a few rock chips here and there from normal road debris but, nothing out of the ordinary or excessive. All window glass is intact and clear. All taillight, headlight, turn signals, and corner markers are beautiful! Pictures do not do this Vintage VW the justice it deserves . . .it looks GREAT! Overall I would rate the exterior a 9 out of 10.

INTERIOR

The inside of this VW is in EXCELLENT shape. The interior seat fabrics were professionally done and look incredible. The seats are firm with NO rips, tears, broken bolsters or problems. The carpet looks great and is all intact. The dash is in excellent shape and has NO cracks or discoloration. The door panels are the original units and are also in excellent shape. The top is in EXCELLENT shape. The back window is glass NOT plastic. The top operates smoothly and is very easy to raise and lower. All buttons, switches, lights, controls, dials, knobs, handles, etc, are intact and in perfect working order. NO PROBLEMS! All window glass is intact and all window cranks work perfectly. This VW is equipped with VERY RARE FACTORY AC! The system works great however; the AC compressor died and was sent in to be rebuilt. The shop that I sent it in too went under and I was not able to recover my AC compressor. The system worked great before the pump died and I’m sure it will work again with a new AC compressor. Overall I would rate the interior a 9 out of 10.

ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, SUSPENSION, BRAKES, TIRES

The drive train is the legendary VW flat 4. Engine is fuel injected and mated to a 4 speed manual transmission. Engine and transmission are ORIGINAL! The engine starts the first time, every time and settles into a smooth idle. The power comes on strong and pulls through the entire rev range. Never abused! The 4 speed manual trans shifts smoothly and the clutch has great feel and take up with NO slipping. The shocks are firm with NO excessive dive, squat, bounce, or rebound. The steering is responsive with NO excessive play in the steering wheel. The brakes are firm with great pedal feel. The master cylinder was replaced recently and there are no braking issues. No pulling or vibration. Just firm, confident stops. The wheels are REAL Porsche alloys and are staggered 15”. Tires are new and are 195/60 15 in front and 255/60 15 in the rear. Overall I would rate the engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, and tires a 9 out of 10.
