Detailed item info | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Selling my 1990 Jeep Cherokee Limited. It is very hard to find Limited's in this body style. This one is extremely clean inside and out and gets attention everywhere I drive it. People don't believe me when I say its a 1990. This truck is a future classic. I have done almost no off-roading with it because it is simply too nice!..even tough it is more than capable off-road. I am the 3rd owner of this Jeep. I bought it in Oct. 2009 completely stock with 142,000 miles due to the excellent condition and rare model. I was looking for a newer Cherokee, but this one was too clean/rare to pass up. It was taken very good care of by its earlier owners and based on the fact that it has NO RUST I would say it was garaged, because it is a New England truck. I invite you to put this on a lift; the undercarriage looks like a new truck's! I have gone through this vehicle and have spent thousands of dollars and countless hours to build this Jeep. Here is a list of some of what has been done to this Jeep: 3” Rough Country Suspension lift Kit; Rough Country Shocks all around 2” Rocky Mountain spacers added to front suspension New Rocky Mountain leaf springs, 2” drop shackles and 1” spacers added to rear Rough Country control-arm drop kit, front axle Rough Country Sway-bar quick-disconnect kit, front axle Rough Country Adjustable Track Bar and pitman arm-drop kit, front axle (holds an alignment very well) (suspension is super tight and only has about 5k miles on it!) Adam’s Driveshaft, Custom built CV Driveshaft, transfer case
to rear axle (eliminated many vibrations) Cooling system converted from closed-pressure system to next
generation open-system; upgraded
to CSF heavy duty 3-row radiator with 160* thermostat (runs cold) After-market intake installed Lou’s Custom Exhaust, single after-market muffler with stainless steel tip Mickey Thomson 15” polished aluminum rims with NEW 31” BFG
all terrain tires (tires have 100% tread; about $1,000 worth of rubber!) Stainless Steel Grill Guard with fog-lights attached Pioneer Stereo System with Jenson Speakers Transfer case adjusted/re-sealed Front and rear differential fluids changed/diff covers painted Undercarriage Rhino-lined with paint-on bed liner w/ Kevlar Fender-flares and body (under molding only), rust-treated
and re-painted gloss white (some small rust bubbles did re-surface, but fairly minor) Rocker-panels replaced with custom fabrication to eliminate
rust problem spot in the Cherokees (have held up very well) Starter replaced Water pump replaced and larger fan clutch (from Grand Cherokee) added Brake pads, rotors, drums, rear wheel cylinders, and a couple lines replaced. New brake booster. Upper and lower ball-joints replaced. As you can see I have put a lot into this Jeep to make it such a sharp and unique Cherokee. Clearly I was not planning on selling this, but based on my commute I have decided to replace my toy with a more practical car. This Jeep has been an on-going project of mine and does still have a few problem spots. Nothing major, and nothing that affects drive-ability, but here is what I have not addressed yet: The reverse lights usually do not work. I was able to move the shift around and get them to work for inspection, but they are out again... The rear drive-shaft (which was replaced) works flawlessly, but the front drive-shaft is original and does get some vibrations at highway speeds. Older Cherokees are notorious for leaking oil, and this one is no exception. I have replaced a few seals, but it still drips oil after it has been running a while (not urgent, but I would replace the rear-main seal) The a/c does not blow cold. I have never attempted to recharge it, but I would imagine it needs more than a simple re-charge due to the age of the vehicle. I believe it needs a vacuum line replaced; once the engine heats up it idles a little high in park/neutral. It idles perfect (between 500-600 rpm) once it is put into gear. Lastly, as seen in the pics, the interior would be mint if the drivers seat was replaced. It has some tears in it and the side is propped up with a 2x4 block. (power seat still works) Basically, as with any 22 yr old vehicle it does need a little work to be perfect, but I will say that I would not hesitate to drive this Jeep 1,000 miles today. It is turn-key and reliable. My reserve price is about what I have spent in just aftermarket parts alone! My loss is your gain. Any questions please feel free to call me at 781-775-2234. If you are local I'd be happy to show you the Jeep in person. It is registered and on the road right now. Clean title in hand. Thanks for looking. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
