When your car gets to the place where you can feel the grit sticking to the paint finish it is time to use a clay bar to remove the contaminants.

If washing isn't enough to give it that silky smooth finish you desire, try detailing clay to remove the residual contaminants. Detailing Clay is the most effective way to remove stubborn environmental contaminants such as tar, bugs, factory fallout, paint overspray and brake dust from your car's finish.

The 200 gram medium grade clay bar is a mildly abrasive and safe for all surfaces. It will loosen and safely remove all forms of dirt and contaminants when used correctly.

Just spray the surface with lubricant, like Blue Mist. (http://www.pacificprodux.com/DP232-01.html) Pull off a 1/4 chunk of the clay bar, for a flat pancake and prepare to remove the contaminants. Apply the lubricant liberally and wipe the bar allowing the clay to glide gently over the paint, glass, fiberglass, chrome and or other smooth surfaces. Wipe the clay over the surface, one pass with 50% overlap until the panel is silky smooth to the touch. As the clay bar picks up contaminants it will show the dirt. Re-fold the clay into itself creating new flat surfaces until you have exhausted its usefulness. Pull off another piece of clay if needed to complete the job. Use a towel to wipe away the excess lubricant. If the lubricant dries, re-spray with more lubricant, clay and wipe off to a high shine.

** Note: Do not push down on the clay bar as you remove contaminants letting the clay and lubricant do the removal. If you feel the clay sticking apply more lubricant and continue.

Whatever you do, don't drop the clay on the ground! This 200 gram bar will clean approximately two full size cars. Store in a closed container or zip lock bag when not in use.
