Rare 12' Penn Yan Cartop fishing boat.   Model KXH King Car Top 12' x 48" x 15".  Composite Spruce half ribs, reinforced transom 1955-1960.  Wood and canvas construction.  All original with decals and details but has some structural issues.  Several cracked ribs,  Needs restoration.  Classic fresh water car top fishing boat.  Excellent cosmetic condition but again needs some structural attention.  Stored in a barn for many years.  Low reserve. Pick up only in southern New Hampshire, Portsmouth area just off 95.

 Q: Lovely boat! I am having a hard time trying to determine how this boat could have broken ribs when the canvas looks original. Any ideas? How many ribs are broken? Any broken planks? Any rot? Thanks, Rob
A: Actually there are many bad ribs in the stern. Basicly this is a lightly built boat and the weight of standing in it made the bottom weak. The boat is not safe to use as is so bid accordingly.
