For your consideration, a 1974 Super Beetle Mechanic's Special. This is a daily driver and has been used to drive cross-country on occasions. There is absolutely "no rust" found on this car. The floor pans are in original condition. Engine is a rebuilt single port that is capable of 35 mpg cruising at highway speeds on premium unleaded fuel. Transmission is solid with no gear whine.The car was intended to be a complete restoration but became a daily driver instead. Window rubber has been replaced and the paint is still very nice. Everything works and will easily fit in as a runabout or a nice back-to-school car for a teen. The interior is average, seats, carpet, and headliner could use some attention but not much. I'm an old VW mechanic so I will insure the car is ready for pick up. Email with your questions. This is a No Reserve auction and the car is also advertised locally and we reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. A $300.00 immediate deposit is required at auction end and the full amount of sale is due within 7 days after the auction.

A: Hey Rick, The engine in the pics is the one that was removed to install the rebuilt engine. As for the premium fuel, from my experience the higher octane runs much cleaner than the low octane. I've always used... Continue reading
