1967 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon 21 Window

1967 21 window Delux Bus Drive it Home !! I really was planning on keeping this. Came to me out of storage for 12 years! This one is an original walkthrough model with a large sliding cloth sunroof, and it has chromed bumpers that are in very good shape except for one rear guard that's dented. Its original color scheme was Sea Blue and Cumulus White; as you can see it's been repainted in a non-original color scheme. But a nice job. More pics added go to bottom of listing.

This is still ineed of some TLC the restore was done 10-15 years ago. The SunRoof works but needs some work. Seems to be complete. I am missing the handle. I will look to see if it has been misplaced. Please be sure to look at the additional pics

Ive done  brakes, lines, hoses, bearing, seals.  I replaced the fuel pump and rebuilt the carburetor, Tune up, valves etc. The engine runs Fantastic, Has original correct motor with govener. It starts and runs well, and the transmission shifts very nicely and is operates quietly. The radio opening in the dash has never been cut, the rain gutters are solid . There is the expected surface rust in places, but I consider it very minimal , the hole for the cargo door rod in the outer section of the cargo floor has been damaged by a previous owner but it does work and that section needs replaced, but the rest of the cargo floor is solid. One of the cargo doors is showing rust along the bottom edge. But this is a solid bus overall and would be a great starting point for your own restoration. it would be a practical, usable everyday driver if you're not too concerned about absolute originality and are willing to tolerate a few rough edges. The chassis is solid, again with surface rust showing, but with no cover-up undercoating, NO frame problems or rust-throughs. It needs  new interior side panels installed. It has the original front and cargo-area mats. I have the Deluxe rocker panel moldings and the thin aluminum trim strips from the original interior panels. The 14" wheels are in good shape, the hubcaps are new and the Continental radial tires have very few miles on them . Unfortunately, as with many other split-window buses, the middle seat is missing. Restoration had been started years ago so it has all good rubber and seals
