1972 GMC Sierra
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
I am selling my project. This is a 1972 GMC ¾ ton truck, which I have turned into a crew cab truck or a 3 door. I used a Suburban body and the back half of the cab of the 1972 GMC. I did all of the work myself and the paint myself. The truck is not perfect but it is a good start if you are looking for a very rare truck. I have seen a few of these made and that is how I got the idea about 4 years ago. The paint is not very good and it is the first time I sprayed paint, but I wanted paint on the truck to protect it. The body is not perfect either as I am not a body person, but it came out pretty nice. I get a lot of looks when I drive it around town. I built a custom flatbed for it and put a poly tank between the frame rails. It has seats out of a 2003 Suburban, but the interior has not been finished. I am only selling it because I have moved on to another project and I need the money. I have a lot of time in this truck. I would estimate anywhere from 200 to 400 hours or labor, maybe more. The truck is currently registered and I have the title in hand. The truck is a 1972 GMC ¾ ton long bed frame with a Chevy 350 with a SM465 four speed stick. I was told when I purchased the truck about 4 years ago that it had a crate engine with about 20,000 miles on it. I only drive the truck about 1000 miles a year. It has a 4-inch lift (Tuff Country), which is new, and ORD shackle flip in the rear. Rancho shocks all the way around and 35” Super Swampers that have about 30% left. If you are looking for a one of a kind truck and you like these years GMC’s than you will love this truck. Like I said the truck is not perfect, but it runs and drivers. The interior needs to be finished and you will be good to go. I was going to put a 700R4 in it, but I never got around to it. I do have a 700R4 tranny that I will throw in if the buyer wants it. Please ask questions and I will answer as best I can. The reserve is $6500.00 due to all the money and work I have into it and the truck is one of a kind. Please come and look at it and drive it if you want. This truck is sold AS IS and all sales are final. I will help anyway I can when it sells within reason. The power steering pump is making noise, but is still working fine. I would replace it and will take off $100 of the purchase price after sale. The gas gauge does not work, but the other gauges do work. Needs a new dash pad and steering wheel, both are cracked from age. I have the hood bezel and a few trim pieces that are not on the truck, but will go with it. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
