I have a complete short block 283 engine I was told was out of a Corvette?
It looks like it had been bored .030. I have the block, which has been cleaned, freeze plugs and cam bearings(installed), crank, rods, pistons, timing cover, cam, timing chain and balancer.
The numbers on the block are as follows, 3789935 1961-62- 63 283 Vette 315hp
F0302D Flint engine plant, March 2nd
B-2-63 February 1963
The block, timing cover and balancer are freshly painted chevy high-temp orange. Fully dis-assembled
