Early Porsche 911 / 912 Horn Button Leather

This listing is for a reproduction leather insert for Porsche 911 and 912 horn buttons. No need to buy a whole new button, just restore the one you have. The logo is correct in size and detail to the original. You are ONLY buying the leather insert, not the chrome ring that is pictured. I had this stamp made to finish a restoration I was working on for a 1967 912. Installing this leather insert is not complicated if you have basic tool and mechanical knowledge. I include illustrated directions with each shipped part.....I have a copy of the directions shown above. Disconnect your battery, remove the horn button by pressing down and turning counter clockwise; then you will only need a flat blade screwdriver to switch out the leather. Once you have the button apart you might decide to have the ring chromed or paint the butterfly and it would be a good time to replace the rubber spring collar (a $14.00 part). So spend a little time to replace that aging or torn button that stares at you each time you hop into enjoy you car!
