 You are looking at a brand new Breakaway Switch only. This is not the whole breakaway kit or system.This is the switch that has a plastic coated steel cable that pulls out of the main switch body in case of separation of the tow vehicle and trailer. These are required by the Federal DOT. This is the switch that usually gets damaged & is in need of replacement. It is a very high quality switch. The plunger is O-ring sealed and is weatherproof. It has 48" extra long lead wires and in most cases will not require splicing in additional wire to hook up.These switches have been used for years and have great dependability The switch with it's plastic covered 48" steel cable with plunger is tough & strong. The weather proof O ring sealed contacts are heavy duty spring loaded built with quality. The mounting bracket is made with a .060 thickness steel & has one .270" hole. This is not a cheaply made product. It is built to last & keep you in compliance with the law. Should you have any questions don't hesitate to contact us.
