-removing your old cracked dash and replacing with a nice uncracked dash can be a daunting task to many tbird lovers, i have dismantled close to 100 old tbirds in the last 10 years or so and have put together step by step dismantling directions of my own along with the chapter in the service manual that will also have dismantling and reinstallation directions, a total of 12 pages of detailed instructions. The other pictures i have showing are the cosmetic conversion of my 65' hardtop to a convertible, not a functioning convertible. I plan to make a light frame from electrical wire tubing this winter so that it can be driven in the rain also, anyways i put up these pictures showing the finished product and I am looking for the directions that i have placed in a drawer somewhere to help you do the same if you care too, a low cost poor man's convertible! by the way, that is a hardtop trunk with lock removed and metal welded in and then fnished smooth to keep cost low to anybody who would like to do, trunk opens by vaccuum. i have a picture of the data plate showing the body style code 63 being a hardtop, convertible is body style 76. dash removal directions will be mailed in an envelope or will email if i can find the attachment i have on an old email. |
