These are harder to find than the dash A/C units themselves! This is the underdash heater box with the air control box for a Nova with air conditioning. It has the door in the front that allows the blower to blow air in from the back through the evaporator core in the under dash A/C unit and out the vents. You cannot use the air conditioner without it!. It has extra bracket mounts to help attach the A/C unit to it. It also has the "on" switch that would be activated when you pull the "ON" knob out in the air conditioner control. That pull cable opens the door on the front of this air control box and when the door is fully open it pushes in a switch button. I believe this button is what makes the connection so the air compressor comes on. The button is sticking and needs lube and loosening up, but it's there. The plastic floor heater vent is in great shape- no cracks or broken edges that I noticed. The blower motor and squirrel cage turns freely and is included too. Heater core is in it, but condition is unkown. The bottom of the heater box has a small rust hole showing on pic #4 to patch. There was a square shaped thick foam rubber gasket that went between the air control box and the back of the A/C unit itself, but it fell apart when I disassembled the box years ago. You can substitute it with adhesive backed foam gasket strips found at Lowe's and Home Depot. I was going to use it in my '63 Nova, but the dash and A/C unit mounts are different on '66-'67 as are the defrost ducts on the air control box, so I couldn't use it. My loss is your gain. Very rare parts. Shipping box is 23"x16"x14" and weighs 24 pounds. | ||||||||
