Thunderbird H/T Atlanta GA DESCRIPTION: 1959 Ford Thunderbird: 2 dr hard top, odometer 29,803 (total since new unknown), turquoise and white exterior, turquoise and white vinyl interior, 352 cu. in. engine, Cruise-o-Matic auto trans, power steering, power windows, power seats, am radio (working), front seat belts, like new G78-14 wide white wall tires, NO RUST, always garaged. Serial# H9YH134905 Body 63A Color A Trim 8X Date 02D Trans 4 Axle 1 In 1958, Ford began production of the second
generation T-Bird which included a 4 passenger design and was nicknamed
"Square Birds". In
1959 they changed the styling only slightly & sales improved significantly.
The
bucket seats and console design of this bird was a pioneering effort by Ford.
It successfully established the personal luxury concept of today's automobiles.
This
was Ford's first model with a Uni-body frame, a feature that is now standard on
most vehicles. It
is in 3+ condition and only requires some minor TLC to get it the rest of the
way. Everything
works, No
significant rust, Great
driving car. It is mechanically sound, the 352 V8 engine runs great. The
transmission shifts smoothly without jumping or clunking. The
exterior repaint is pretty nice (I think it was repainted about 10 years ago - just before I bought it)
and good quality. The
interior and exterior chrome has some minor faults but is great considering it
is 50 years old. The
wide white wall tires are like new, in great shape. Comes
with a Ford shop manual. You
can own this fine car. It has given me
many years of motoring pleasure. I
have, and have had, all of the old cars from the 40s & 50s. And, this T-BIRD is one of my favorites. I
